Dene is a co-founder of Pathways; a Registered Nurse for People with Learning Disabilities and has a Masters Degree in Business Administration.

Dene leads Pathways Welcome Values Quality Checker Programme and facilitates The Regional Learning Disability Forum ; National Campaigns and Being Safe Groups.

Dene has worked as a Director and senior manager of provider services in the private, public and third sector.He has also worked as a Health and Social Care commissioner:These experiences offer useful insights when Dene is involved in NHSE, CCG and Local Authority projects.

Dene has developed and led a number of accessible mindfulness programmes for people with learning disabilities, people with autism, their families and workforce. To help improve participants wellbeing and resilience.

Dene leads and develops mindfulness programmes in prisons for offenders and their staff and provides mindfulness training for physical intervention training agencies; to help reduce the use of physical interventions.

Dene also works as a Zen Meditation teacher; offering mindfulness retreats for people of all faiths and none:He will be offering a mindfulness retreat for health and social care staff in 2020.
