Dene is a Director and co-founder of Pathways Associates and a co-founder and steering group member of the North West Positive Behavioural Support Network. He is a Registered Nurse and has a Masters Degree in Business Administration.
Dene leads Pathways Welcome Values peer quality review programme and is responsible for the co-ordination of Learning Disability Self- Advocacy in the North West, linking regional and national forums on behalf of NHS England.
Dene provides mindfulness training for two Nationally Accredited Physical Intervention Training companies who have introduced mindfulness into their instructor trainer curriculum. He is also introducing Mindfulness with The National Association of Independent Schools and Non-Maintained Special Schools (NASS)
Dene recently managed and led the NHS North West Mindfully Valuing People Now Project; introducing Mindfulness Based Approaches to people with learning disabilities, staff and families across the North West region.
Dene has worked as a Director and Senior Manager in the Private, Public and Voluntary sectors. He was a commissioner and provider in the Health and Social care which offers him useful insights when facilitating Partnership Board Reviews.
Dene regularly facilitates peer quality review programmes across the UK and works nationally and in Europe introducing Mindfulness into the workplace.
